About the CFA

The CFA is responsible for emergency management within the "country area of Victoria" and is serviced by 1200 Fire Brigades, 63,000 volunteers and 900 paid support staff.

The Westernport Area

The Keysborough Urban Fire Brigade is located in the Westernport Area (Region 8). This area comprises of 69 Fire Brigades who fall under 6 Fire Brigade Groups

Brigade Demographics

• 5,108 households
• 51% of population of non-English speaking origin
• Industrial and Agricultural areas
• Aged Care Facilities
• Child Care and Kindergarten Facilities

Brigade Management Team and Members

The Brigade Management Team (BMT) oversees the management and operation of the Brigade, the BMT comprises of:

• Captain
• 1st Lieutenant, 2nd Lieutenant and 3rd Lieutenant
• Secretary
• Treasurer

Currently the Brigade has 30 members.

The Brigade and the Community

Keysborough Urban Fire Brigade are very active in the local community and actively promote the Brigade, community safety message and CFA, providing volunteers with the opportunity to actively participate in community events and promote the messages that strive towards making a safer community.
