| The Junior Volunteer Development Program (JVDP)
is a youth development program that provides a wide variety of
safe, enjoyable and challenging activities. These activities aim
to enhance a sense of community spirit and personal values, with
an awareness of fire and fire safety, and strengthen links between
brigades and their communities.
The objectives of the program are to:-
- Provide young people with a sense of place in their community
and an awareness of the need for and benefits of volunteerism.
- Enhance personal values such as commitment, responsibility
and respect for self and others.
- Increase the opportunity for future recruitment and volunteer
involvement in the CFA whilst making a proactive contribution
to the safety and well being of Victorian communities.
